Terms of Service

Last updated: June 19, 2026

1. Service Description

Random Playlist ("the Service") is a web application that allows users to randomly reorder and organize their music playlists across multiple streaming platforms using audio features such as BPM, musical key, energy, and other parameters. The Service also allows users to create new playlists from selected songs or complete albums, transfer playlists from one platform to one or multiple destination platforms, manage multiple accounts per supported platform, and switch between connected accounts from the dashboard.

2. Account & Access

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each subscription is limited to a single user and may be used on a maximum of 1 device at a time.

3. Subscription & Billing

The Service offers two paid plans: Basic ($6.99/month or $71.29/year) and Pro ($9.99/month or $101.89/year), billed through Stripe. A free tier is available with limited functionality (1 save total, 1 playlist creation total, 1 playlist transfer total, max 50 tracks per playlist). Basic supports sorting, saving and 5 playlist transfers per week. Pro includes unlimited playlist transfers, playlist creation, album-based playlist creation and advanced multi-account workflows. You may cancel at any time through your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods, plan downgrades, account cancellation, or account deletion.

4. Device Limit

Each account may only be used on 1 device at a time. Sessions are tracked and expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Sharing account credentials with others is prohibited.

5. Third-Party Platforms

The Service integrates with Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and YouTube/YouTube Music via their official APIs. We do not store your streaming platform passwords. We use OAuth tokens to access your playlists on your behalf. You may revoke access at any time through your streaming platform's settings or through the Random Playlist dashboard.

Random Playlist allows users to connect one or more accounts from supported music platforms, including Spotify, TIDAL, YouTube, YouTube Music, and Apple Music where available. Each connected streaming account is linked to the Random Playlist account that first authorizes it.

For security, fraud prevention, and account integrity, the same streaming account cannot be linked to another Random Playlist account unless support manually reviews and approves the change. Users are responsible for ensuring they only connect streaming accounts they own or are authorized to use.

Disconnecting a platform account removes Random Playlist access to that account, but it does not delete playlists, music, or data from the external streaming platform. Random Playlist may store limited platform account metadata, such as account ID, display name, profile image, email when provided by the platform, access tokens, refresh tokens, and connection status. This information is used only to provide account switching, playlist access, playlist creation, playlist ordering, and synchronization features.

6. YouTube API Services

Random Playlist uses YouTube API Services to access and manage your YouTube and YouTube Music playlists. By using this feature, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.

You can revoke Random Playlist's access to your Google account data at any time via Google Security Settings. Upon revocation, all stored YouTube tokens and data will be deleted from our servers.

7. Playlist Ownership

You may only reorder playlists that you own. The Service will not allow modification of playlists owned by other users. You are responsible for any changes made to your playlists through the Service, including playlists created via the multi-platform creation feature.

8. Limitations

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for data loss, service interruptions from third-party platforms, unavailable tracks, mismatched metadata, regional catalog differences, or changes to platform APIs that may affect functionality. Playlist transfers depend on the availability, permissions, catalog data, search results, rate limits and API quotas of each connected platform. YouTube API quota limitations may temporarily restrict reordering or transfer functionality for YouTube/YouTube Music playlists.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in unauthorized access attempts. Upon termination, all stored data including OAuth tokens will be deleted within 30 days.
